It is that time of year again when the reigning King of the Dancehall Vybz Kartel will be celebrating his birthday on Friday, January 7th, as usual, a birthday bash is held in honour of him and this year is no different. This year’s hosting of the event is set to be held in New York.

The name of this year’s hosting of Kartel’s birthday bash is called “THE COMET IS COMING” and the location set for the event is 2935 Third Avenue, in Bronx. The event will feature sound selectors such as Chris Diamond, Chukuloo 4STAR, FIRE BLACKS SYNEMAX SOUND, and SHOWBIZ SOUND.

Based on the theme chosen for the party, it is safe to assume that the deejay is preparing for his privy council appeal which will be the determining factor if the artiste walks free or not of the murder conviction handed down to him in the year 2014 for the death of Clive “lizard” Williams.
