Vybz Kartel ‘Looking Healthier’ Says Some Fans: Others Disagree

Fans are now debating online whether or not Vybz Kartel is showing health improvements and they are using post-prison photos to conclude. A photo taken the first week he was released is being compared to a photo taken a month later while he was in Panama.
It’s been a month and a week since Vybz Kartel and two other formerly co-accused were released from the Tower Street Adult Correctional Centre formerly known as General Penitentiary aka GP in Kingston, the deejay has been out and about with his fiancee Sidem ever since.
Previously a photo of when Kartel was arrested in 2011 was compared to a photo taken in his first week out. The comparison sparked many reactions online with loyal Gaza fans expressing that he was incarcerated for a long time hence his look and he should be given time to heal from his Graves’ decease.

Fast forward to September 7, 2024, two photos of the 48-year-old are placed side by side in a post by Baaytings on Instagram. The post was captioned, “See it ?” while the image had the following text, “Kartel is improving…Can you see it??,” Many Instagram users left a reaction.
While most of the comments state that he looks healthier in the newer photo, others believe the mass is being tricked by the dark glass that he’s sporting in the more recent picture. According to the critics, the eyeglasses are covering up some of the swollen areas of his face and his eyes.
One fan of the Portmore deejay stated, “Slowly but surely. God and time!!!.” On the other hand, a critic said, “No we can’t him have shades on.”

Kartel recently announced that his first show after prison will be on December 31 at the Freedom Street Concert, in multiple interviews and posts shared online the artiste expressed that he is working on getting as healthy as possible to perform at the much-anticipated Down Sound Entertainment planned event.
In a more recent interview, the deejay expressed that he will be performing for multiple hours, changing multiple outfits along the way to showcase the different versions and eras of himself.
Months ago, during his pre-trial hearing in the Court of Appeal, Kartel’s doctor, Dr. Karen Phillips via documents detailed that the entertainer’s heart was operating at 50% of its normal capacity.
