Portmore’s Dancehall star Vybz Kartel, released the song “Chip Glock”, which he previewed on his social media page this week Tuesday. The Gaza Don reminds us in his lyrics, that Poor People Fed Up deejay, remains his musical father and goes on to warn his enemies about his chip glock.
Vybz Kartel, the renowned lyricist whose diverse musical catalogue spans many years, is no stranger to writing about guns and the like. This has not changed since being imprisoned for the past several years and this new release is arguably his most violent song of 2021.
In one line of the new track, Kartel deejayed “swear seh yo special but yo very average, yaa sing bout killing mi real savage”. This is a line that the Gaza fans believe is taking direct aim at the deejay’s long-time archrival Mavado, given the latter’s 2009 classic “So Special”. There were other lines that can be sad to be directed at other Dancehall artistes.
