Rising dancehall singjay Bad Gal Lanae is too young for the iconic Dancehall ‘Teacher’, Vybz Kartel, who collaborated with her on his latest track “Too Young”.
Lanae, who describes herself as “talented & versatile”, was introduced to the Gaza nation on Thursday when Vybz Kartel shared the steamy collaboration on Instagram with his fans, the clip was captioned with the hastag “#tooyoung” with Lanae dancing to the single.
The raunchy single with Vybz Kartel on the chorus, telling Lanae “yuh too young, yuh mama tell mi leave you alone, gwan home to yuh madda girl.”
In an erotic way of telling Kartel age is just a number, Lanae sings “Mi can bruck off buddy, mi can siddung pon it, mi can skin out pan it, gi yuh some style big woman cyah gi, so don’t come style mi as no likkle pickney.”
As the track continues, Lanae insists that she is the “ripest” fruit, however, Kartel drops a line reminding the singer he is “Kartelly not R Kelly”.
The single is currently trending at #14 on YouTube with 179,000 views since it was released on Tuesday, May 17.
Lanae sent gratitude to Vybz Kartel on Instagram and added that she absolutely loves the song.
The Montego Bay native, whose given name is Lanae Gillette, has been gaining millions of views on her other tracks, including 2020 single ‘Whine’ with over 13 million on YouTube and 2021 single ‘Stay Dung Deh’ featuring Leftside with 4.1 million views on YouTube.
The former beauty queen-turn-Dancehall artiste graduated Montego Bay High School and now shines with a promising career in the entertainment industry.
