Vybz Kartel’s ER Interview at Number 1 and 2 on YouTube Trending for Jamaica
The most candid interview from Vybz Kartel since his release from prison was done with Anthony Miller of Entertainment Report and one day after its release it has superseded his other interviews since his release, racking up over 600k views collectively between two videos in just over 24 hours after it was published on Friday.
In the interview, the flamboyant 48-year-old deejay talked on many topics, including prison life, his release, family, Lizard, shows, health, music, plans for the future and more. Revealing plans for a December show, talking on Lizard, his partner Sidem and the damning voicenotes were some of the highlights of the interview.
According to Kartel, he never lost hope during his time of incarceration and even got more confident in his release after meeting Isat Buchanan which caused him to fire his other lawyers.
The reigning Dancehall King believes the system wanted to crucify him, saying, “There is nothing in the case, what is so special bout the case, people a seh justice fi Lizard, dem nuh know Lizard, a nuh justice fi Lizard, a crucifixion fi Kartel, a that them did a try.”
With regards to the Voicenotes, he said, “mi nuh affi explain it cah mi free,” he next asked Anthony Miller, “How you know a me?… Why Vybz Kartel couldn’t get bail, weh Vybz Kartel did ago run go?”
The interview is expected to dominate the local YouTube charts in the coming weeks, it is also expected to become the most popular interview by a Jamaican in the past 30 years.
