Wasp Thankful to be Alive after being Shot By a Lone Gunman

Dancehall artiste Wasp, whose real name is Marvin Clarke, was shot and injured at a Kingston 10 residence after a lone gunman walked up, and fired several shots which led to one of the bullets hitting the deejay in his hand.

According to Wasp who has now been treated and released, they were at the premises listening to music on a boombox, when his mother came out and reminded them of the curfew.

The deejay figured that his mother was really telling him and his friends that it was time to pack up, so he told her they were going to play one more song then leave.

Wasp said that he was playing one of his songs when a lone gunman walked up and fired off several shots, and one flew threw his hand. The gunman then escaped.

The Police are currently investigating the situation, however, Wasp, has already declared that he will be taking security measures to protect himself, and his family.

According to the entertainer the event might have stemmed from badmind, as the artiste said that this year he has features with Vybz Kartel, as well as a song with Romeich Entertainment and many videos that he shoots weekly.

That level of work ethic being put in this year is what the deejay says have triggered the actions of the gunman.

Wasp also describes himself as someone who flexes normal and does not even move like an artiste. The deejay said that he usually rolls alone.

The “lock of the sound” artiste, is currently trusting things will be safer, putting his trust in God who he says is working harder than the devil.
