Wayne Marshall who recently had the honour of Order Of Distinction (OD) added to his name, has come under a lot of criticism since last week. One of the persons who came out strongly in disagreement with him receiving the national honour was musician Mr. Vegas.
According to Vegas, Wayne Marshall did not deserve the award over several others based on the global impact of the contribution of other Jamaican artistes, who have not been awarded for the work, which includes the likes of Bounty Killer, Beenie Man, Nadine Sutherland, Gyptian, Cleavy and Terro Fabulous, just to name some.
Now, the man under the microscope, Wayne Marshall, has hit back against Mr. Vegas’ comments via a short skit he recorded aimed at Vegas. The hilarious video showed Wayne Marshall’s face edited to look extra large and humorous.
The video depicted the deejay giving praises for the award at a place of worship, which included him singing a gospel song, “When you are in church giving thanks and praises for your award,” the in-video caption stated.
During the singing of the gospel song, the caption changed to “And such man walk in,” referring to Vegas. Wayne Marshall then got angry and repeated the viral phrase popularised by pastor Gino Jennings during his incident with Vegas, “Usher Him Out.”
