Woman Caught at Sangster Int’l Airport with $10mil Worth of Cocaine

The St. James police have arrested a 42-year-old female who was reportedly in possession of US $68,000 worth of Cocaine which is 10,000,000 when translated into Jamaican money. The amount of drugs seized was reported to be three pounds.

According to officials, she was about to board a flight to Florida via Jet Blue last Saturday, March 20th when a police operation was carried out by the Area 1 Narcotics Division at the airport which resulted in the find. She was charged with possession of cocaine, dealing in and also attempting to export cocaine.

The woman whose name is Stacey-Ann Smith works in the parish of St, James as a data entry clerk.

Smith will appear in court on March 29 to answer the charges laid against her.
