Woman fatally stabbed in Ocho Rios

The Ocho Rios Police have taken a shop operator into custody, for questioning regarding his alleged involvement in a homicide case where a female was stabbed to death in Ocho Rios, St. Ann a few days ago.

The victim is Taneisha James from the community of Bamboo Walk in Retreat, St Mary. She was in her 30s.

It was reported that on December 5th about 9 a.m, Ms. James got into a heated verbal dispute with a shop operator close to a bar where she worked in The Ocho Rios market area.

As the tempers flared to higher heights, the man allegedly brandished a knife that he used to stab Ms James.

The man managed to slip away from the crime scene before the police arrived.

The woman was transported to the hospital, where she succumbed to her wounds.

The attacker was located and taken into the custody of the Ocho Rios police, the matter is currently under investigation.
