In one post on Instagram he mentioned telling his Dad that he planned to buy him a house and his Dad replied, “I’m so proud of you, and I love you so much.” The son said this response felt good to him, as he had never heard his Dad talk to him like that before.
“It felt good to me, it felt good to my heart”, Dwayne Johnson said in a video. He also explained how his father was kicked out of his home on Christmas day when he was only 13-year-old and had to live on the streets.
This experience caused his father to raise him with tough physical love, he was beaten on the wrestling mats and in the gym. He said, he hated it back then, but he is grateful for it now.
