Yaksta Wins JARIA Song Of The Year Award With “Ambition”

It is all celebration at this time for Reggae/Dancehall artiste Yaksta since he was the lucky person to walk away with the song of the year award at the Jamaica and Reggae Industry Association (JARIA) ceremony kept on Monday.

It was the entertainer’s 2021 hit single “Ambition” that did the work for him and secured the award, based on its performance on the different playlists and charts it has been circulating on. The deejay showed his gratitude for the win, Sleek Entertainment who gave an initial report on the ceremony said the “Freedom” singer thanked his team that worked with him to create the track as well as the organizers of the event for making it possible for him to have received an award.

Since his breakout in the year 2021, Yaksta has been consistently putting out songs with concepts relating to life improvement and business, so there is no cloud of misunderstanding surrounding his recent award or even why in the past year he was also nominated for other awards such as Sleek’s “Singjay of the year”, “Artiste of the year” and “Best new artiste”.

Alongside his award, the “Assets” artiste has been receiving numerous bookings since the post-pandemic period, something he shared with Winford Williams on the Onstage program with one of his most important upcoming shows being the Reggae Sumfest to be held at the Catherine Hall venue in Montego Bay from July 18 to July 23.
