Yanique ‘Curvy Diva’ Barrett who has found herself in legal woes, took to social media to ‘maintain innocence’ regarding what she describes as “baseless accusations” against her, following reports that she was slapped with multiple charges.
In her statement shared on Instagram, she highlighted that she was formally charged on Thursday. The ‘Lifestyle’ singer was charged with simple larceny, housebreaking, and malicious destruction of property
The 39-year-old wrote, ” I am aware that many of you may have heard the recent news. Yesterday, I was formally charged. On the advice of my legal counsel, I am unable to discuss the details of the matter at this time. However, I want to assure you that I will have my day in court, where the truth will prevail.”
She continues, “I maintain my innocence regarding these baseless accusations. Unfortunately, my former landlord, where I previously operated my restaurant on Dunrobin, is at the center of this unwarranted situation. I will provide further updates as the legal process unfolds.
