Yellowman Breaks Silence on ‘King of Dancehall’ Saga: Bashes Beenie Man and Vybz Kartel

The man who is dubbed the original King of the Dancehall, Winston Foster, better known as Yellowman has broken his silence in a new audio recording that surfaced online on Tuesday.

In the recording which seems to be a voicenote, the veteran deejay outlines that Beenie Man and Bounty Killer are two ungrateful evils.

Apart of the audio from the one minute and thirty four seconds long recording features the veteran artiste stating, “Mi bredda mi nah guh fight with dem two eveil deh or argue with them because the two a them a reptile, one a them a snake, one dem a lizard.”

He continues, “An mi know that the original will neva and will always be around, them cah wipe out history and them could never wipe out history, nuh care wah them duh, everyone a them a fool, them a king a duncehall, badmindhall, criminalhall, liadhall, ungratefulhall… ungrateful retch man.”

Notably, as Beenie Man and Vybz Kartel battle for the king status, none of the two have acknowledged Yellowman as still being the king of the genre. Both Kartel and Beenie have declared that there is only one king which is themself.
