YG Marley’s ‘Praise Jah in the Moonlight’ Jumps to #34 on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart

Reggae newcomer YG Marley continues to rise on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, with his single Praise Jah in the Moonlight jumping five spots on the chart since last week.

The track debuted on the chart at #74 in early February. The single then rose to #60 before shortly falling to #63.

As momentum grew for the track, it rapidly ascended during its fourth week on the Billboard chart, jumping to #39. Its success was noted by Dancehall veteran Bounty Killer, who advised other Jamaican artistes to replicate YG’s ability to reach global audiences.

Praise Jah in the Moonlight has since jumped five more spots to settle at #34 in its fifth week on the chart, ahead of tracks like Rich Baby Daddy by Drake featuring Sexyy Red and SZA and On My Mama by Victoria Monet.

The song has also been gaining traction on other platforms, with YG expressing amazement last Monday that it had surpassed 100 million streams on Spotify.

In addition to racking up 128,720,727 streams on Spotify, Praise Jah in the Moonlight has further acquired over 23 million views on YouTube.
