Yohan Blake Says He Will Not Compete at The Olympics if It Requires A Vaccine

Double World Championship gold medalist and second fastest man of all time, Yohan Blake have returned to training for the upcoming track season and so far everything is going well for him, however, he has one issue that might be a common thought amongst the Jamaican track athletes.

When the Jamaica Gleaner caught up with the sprinter, he told them that he has been working out since his return and has felt much better in preparation for his upcoming events, which he plans to take internationally by May.

He was then asked about the Olympics, which he let the popular news company know that he will not be attending if it requires him to take the vaccine.

In follow up with his answer Blake made it known that he had strong reasons as to why he would make such a decision however, wished not to share.

In the context of the Olympics, it is already being predicted that athletes, will need to take the vaccine since they will be competing in areas that require individuals to be close together.

In further thought of the popular event, wearing a mask while competing might just be a disadvantage to the athletes who will need sufficient oxygen to properly perform.

At this time it remains a mystery as to how such an event like the Olympics will be able to go on in a pandemic of this extent. Due to the extent of the breakout, there might just be a historic cancellation of the World revered event.
