Young Man Connected to Allman Town Murder Charged
Shavar Evans was charged by detectives assigned to the Kingston Central Police Division in relation to a drive-by shooting in Allman Town that left three men dead and two others injured.
The twenty-four-year-old labourer, who is also known as ‘Dada’, of Eddie Lane in Kingston 4, was charged with two counts of shooting with intent, three counts of murder and illegal possession of firearm.
The police had carried out an intense investigation before he decided to turn himself in.
The incident took place on Sunday, January 17 on Prince of Wales Street, Kingston 4.
The police reported that approximately 7:15 p.m., the five men were standing along the side of the road having drinks when they were shot at, by gunmen who were travelling in a motor car.
The lawmen were called and all five men were rushed to the hospital where two were hospitalized and treated, but the other three were pronounced dead
The deceased men were later identified by the police as Konee Foster also known as Big Red’, of Lord Elgin Street, 20-year-old Marvin Livingston, otherwise called ‘Diamond’, of Prince of Wales Street and 21-year-old Raheim Brown of John Street, they were all from Allman Town.
He was subsequently charged after being interviewed in the presence of his attorney, but his court date was not set.
