Your View Awards(YVA) calls Time Out

Karen Clarke Ceo of, An Elegant Affair has decided that her organization is in need of a hiatus from the YVA as putting together the event has taken a toll on her business. It is something she holds dear and she wants to keep the Jamaican culture vibrant and strong, but she thinks she is in need of a break for a while.

The YVA were first held on February 5, 2007 and it has been held every year since then. February 24, 2018 was the last time it was held at the National Indoor Sports Arena in Kingston.
Popcaan, Aidonia, Govana, Kevin Downswell, Chronixx and Alkaline, were among the awardees, they were chosen by public votes.

Lifetime Achievement, Humanitarian, Song, Music Video, Dancing and Album of the Year are among the categories of the Icon Awards.

At the last event Ding Dong and Ravers Clavers were joined by many other entertainers and they danced up a storm and everyone was well entertained.
However, Ms. Clarke believes the amount of work that is needed for the organization of the event has been too much for her to handle. The event was great and there is hope that Ms. Clarke will get the help she needs to continue her good work.
