According to reports, the bartender of an Ocho Rios game shop was held at gunpoint and almost three million dollars in cash was stolen from the establishment.

The robbery took place at the Little Pub Plaza in Ocho Rios, St. Ann, on the morning of Thursday, May 25, 2023.

Allegedly, it was stated that the bartender had just opened the business for the day at around 9:40 AM when she got her first customer asking for a cigarette. Another man arrived on the heels of the first and ordered a half flask of rum.

It was purported that the 35-year-old bartender was in the process of fulfilling the second man’s order when a gun was drawn and directed at her by the first customer, and it became apparent that they were working together when they both proceeded to demand money.

Getting away from the scene on foot, the two men were able to leave with $6,200 from the bar and $2,987,500 from an unlocked safe.

The case is ongoing as Ocho Rios law enforcement look into the incident.
