2018 was a record setting year for Tourism in Jamaica

Ed Bartlett Jamaica’s long standing Tourism Minister recently spoke on the performance of the industry and the numbers are looking good, so good that a new record for the industry was recorded with regards to arrivals and spending. According to Ed Jamaica recorded an 8.6% increase in tourism revenue last year.

In 2018 Jamaica had 4.31 million visitors to the island and this was the second time that Jamaica had over 4.3m tourists in one year.
The Minister also spoke about the positives that this increase has done to Jamaica’s fragile economy, mostly for the small and medium tourism business.
