26-Year-Old Jamaican Man Killed In Bronx, New York

Stephen Stuart, a 26-year-old Jamaican man who migrated to the Bronx, New York just three months ago was unfortunately shot and killed on Friday.
NBC New York reported that Stuart and a friend went to a Dunkin Donuts outlet, however, left shortly after due to a woman accusing Stuart of standing too close and “disrespecting” her.
After leaving, both men were reportedly followed and ambushed near Holland Avenue and East 212th Street in the Bronx by the woman and her boyfriend, who law enforcement officers believe is responsible for killing Stuart.
The unidentified assailants reportedly fled the scene after committing the crime.
The authorities were subsequently summoned and Stuart was rushed to the hospital for treatment but was soon confirmed dead.
Since the ordeal, a close family member of the victim confirmed the unfortunate news and also disclosed that the 26-year-old was employed at a restaurant in New York City, as he was the breadwinner to his mom and sisters in Jamaica.
Sources reveal that his mother had to be rushed to the hospital upon hearing of her son’s death.
Investigations are ongoing by the police to arrest and charge the persons responsible for the shooting death of Stephen Stuart.
