3 Shot, 1 Dead After Shooting at Wedding in Negril

In what was supposed to be an occasion that birthed happy and long-lasting memories, the attendees of a wedding in Negril, Westmoreland are left with a more saddening experience than they bargained for.

According to the Observer Online, three wedding-goers who were in attendance at the wedding of an unidentified couple were shot, and at least one of the wounded has been pronounced dead. The available details proclaim that the deceased guest is a woman.

Investigations into the incident by law enforcement are ongoing. Current reports state that just after 6:00 PM on Saturday, March 25, while the ceremony was in progress, unknown assailants aboard a motorcycle drove up to the procession via a lane in between a prominent hotel and the hotel hosting the wedding.

It was stated that one of the men then started to shoot in the direction of the wedding guests through a fence, and the deceased, including a cameraman, was hit in the process.

Additionally, the remaining guests, as well as foreigners who were eating outside at a nearby hotel, had to dash to safety and were left disturbed by the entire ordeal.
