Beenie Man makes Statement after Collapse at Mother’s Funeral
Beenie Man’s mother “Mama Lilieth” was laid to rest last Sunday, October 26th and the unexpected happened, Beenie was hit so hard by what was taking place before his eyes that he did not have the strength to watch as his “mom’s body being lowered into the tomb”.
In a released statement, Beenie Man explains that not even the loud singing could keep his mind away from the sadness for he only heard silence as he watched the body being lowered. At this moment Beenie passed out and “unfortunately, that very intimate and sad moment was recorded” on a phone and then published online.
After Beenie Man lost his mother back in September, the dancehall community could see that the “king of the Dancehall” was not doing so well as he always expresses deep love for his spiritual mother who he grew up with in the Waterhouse community.
Earlier, it was reported that the Doctor was hospitalized after the incident however Beenie has come forward to dismiss such reports and give thanks for all who supported him during the ordeal.

Beenie Man’s mother was 63 years old and reportedly suffered from a stroke recently and her health was unstable since.
Several entertainers turned up to pay support at the funeral that was kept in St. Elizabeth.
On the other hand the issue was raised about the number of persons who were seen at the funeral which is far more than the permitted amount.
Beenie Man is expected to perform at the BET awards later tonight along with several other dancehall artistes.
