The USMNT emerged as winners of their last match against Canada to solidify their top spot for Group B in the competition while the “Reggae Boyz” placed second place in Group C after losing 0-1 to Costa Rica.

Both teams are very much familiar with each other’s playing style since they have battled on the field countless times, going at it in the last 3 Gold Cup Knockouts which saw Jamaica winning in 2015, and the United States National Men’s team was victorious in the following face-offs in 2017 and 2019.

When it comes to both teams’ last 5 matches, in analysis, Jamaica won 2 out of the 5, drawing 1 and losing 2 while the USMNT won all 5 of their games.

So far, Jamaica has been looking good, with coach Theodore Whitmore commending the backline of the squad that won against Guadeloupe however, where it concerns the midfield and the final third the “Tappa”, said they needed work as it relates to executing the given strategy and tactics to better convert.

The USMNT’s backline was also seen to be superb when they played their first match with Haiti, swooping to victory with the 4-2-3-1 formation they usually use.

Fast forward to the Canada match, they changed strategy using a 3-5-2 formation which proved difficult for them as they struggled to their victory, having to use much physicality to get their win.

Notably, Bobby Reid is back with the Reggae Boyz and even though Leon Bailey did not play is the previous match, he is expected to play a big part in tomorrow’s game.

The game will be streamed on TUDN, Fox Sports 1 and Univision.
