The Reggae Boyz played against the United States Men’s National football team in the CONCACAF Gold Cup quarterfinals moments ago and the much-anticipated encounter ended 0-1 in favour of the Americans.

Both teams played a good ball-game in the first half despite being unable to score. Jamaica’s caption Andrew Blake had to make the most difficult save in the first half, while Jamaica made way into the USA box on several occasions, however, was unable to find the back of the net.
USA scored in the 83rd minute via a headed chance by Matthew Hoppe.
The game took place at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington Texas with kick-off time being 9PM.
PM Holness took to social media to praise the Boyz on their “valiant fight” throughout the tournament.
The win means the USA faces Qatar in the semifinals of the Gold Cup which will be played on Thursday.
Jamaica’s next match will be against Mexico on September 2nd which is a World Cup Qualifier match.
