Jahshii Was Not Arrested Says Police

After recent reports that young Dancehall artiste Jahshii was arrested in Clarendon at an illegal event, the senior communication strategist at the Jamaica Constabulary Force, Dennis Brooks has declared that the entertainer was never arrested.

The rumours began to circulate after the Police pulled up at the Clarendon event on Christmas Eve and carried out a patrol, while the deejay was on stage allegedly performing. It was at that time according to Brooks that it was realized just how huge the gathering was.

After the Police went to the scene, people reportedly began to flee the scene, and this was even seen in a viral video showing a brown suit officer on the premises which then resulted in 32 people being brought into custody and slapped with Disaster Risk Management charges. After the situation took place, the rumour of Jahshii being arrested began to circulate, however, it was confirmed by Brooks that his name was not on the list of arrested persons.

The senior communication strategist spoke on the matter stating that even though investigations into the matter might prove that Jahshii could have been the one performing at the illegal Christmas Eve event, his name was not amongst the persons on the list which means he did not spend his Christmas behind bars.

In confirmation of the situation, the Jamaica Star spoke with the entertainer’s road manager who said that the artiste is doing fine and that what was heard is not true. The same night, he was seen on his Instagram Live with the “Unruly Boss” Popcaan, which hints at him never being behind bars.

The young Dancehall enigma whose real name is Mluleki Tafari Clarke, drew widespread attention when he did the controversial Entertainment Report interview with Anthony Miller, which sparked many conversations among the nation’s audience after he made some challenging comments directed towards established veterans and the police.
