Jamaican Wins MBA Student of The Year at UK University
Monique Farquharson, a native of Jamaica was the first winner of the Aston Enterprise Scholarship. This fully-funded scholarship secured her a place at the prestigious Aston University in September 2020 where she studies a Master in Business Administration (MBA).
The Jamaican native was awarded commendations such as MBA Student of the Year Award 2022 at Aston University and was also coveted as the ‘Global Business Champion’ from a group of over 100 international students across the world from seven different universities.
Monique Farquharson also gained a plethora of valuable international experience from spending time in the US and Japan. Furthermore, she has secured internships and engaged in consultancy work with four different companies.
“The Aston MBA experience has been absolutely fantastic. Because I started the programme during the pandemic, I ended up studying in four different countries. But despite these challenges I have been amazed by the opportunities that have been presented to me, and I am so grateful for the support from everyone at Aston Business School” says Monique Farquharson, as reported by Jamaica Observer.
