Man Dies After Falling From Bus And Gets Ran Over Along Highway 2000
An investigation has been launched into the death of a man who fell from a passenger bus along highway 2000 and was subsequently run over.
According to reports, the man was swinging and dancing on the door of the bus when he fell and ended up being run over by the vehicle and another passenger bus Monday afternoon.
The driver from the second bus, who operates from Kingston to Old Harbour, stated that the back wheel of the bus from which the man fell from ran over the deceased, and then he accidentally ran over him again.
The driver went on to say that he saw the man fall from the bus, but he was unable to “swerve” his vehicle away in time.
Passengers gathered to discuss the man’s fatality and mentioned that he allegedly did this type of behaviour often. One person mentioned that conductors should be monitoring the bus doors.
As some of the passengers recalled what happened and how the man lost his balance, the other set of passengers praised the second driver for having good driving skills and not crashing when the incident took place.
