Alkaline’s Soundtrack Featured In Paris Fashion Week’s Givenchy Menswear Collection

Dancehall artiste Alkaline has propelled to another level after his music and style were featured on the stages at Paris Fashion Week during the first major collection of the Givenchy Menswear Collection on the Haute Couture runway.
American designer, Matthew M. Williams got the inspiration for this year’s Spring/Summer 2022/2023 collection from the Jamaican entertainer, whereby his signature dark contact lenses and rugged, industrial dress style had caught his attention.
The designer brought this vision to life by showcasing an urban, sports-infused and pared-down fashion on the runway and complemented that by playing a catalogue of Alkaline’s hit singles in the background as the male models walk on a water-infused runway.
Raw and uncut versions of the entertainer’s songs were played throughout, such as ‘My Side Of The Story’, ‘Company’, ‘Ocean’ ‘After All’ and ‘One More Time’.
“Menswear was, quite naturally, the way I discovered fashion. In my practice at Givenchy, my men’s collections came from an instinctive starting point. This show is a reflection of myself and the men who surround me, from my close friends to the artists who inspired my work”, Williams said in response to unveiling the inspiration from his collection.
