St. Thomas Records 4th Murder In Less Than 2 Days

The usual quiet rural parish of St.Thomas has since recorded its fourth murder in less than two days.
Most recently, dead are 41-year-old Germaine Jeffery, a businessman and 50-year-old Denise Bell, a shop operator from a community in the parish called Soho Hill, Seaforth.
According to reports, Jeffrey and Bell were travelling in a Subaru motor vehicle on the night of Saturday, July 9, when gunmen opened fire which resulted in both succumbing to gunshot injuries after being transported to the hospital.
Prior to that, on Friday, July 8, two persons were shot and killed by unknown assailants while travelling in a Toyota motor vehicle on the Lloydsville main road in Yallahs.
The deceased have been identified as Jardine Carr, a woman who is said to be a former member of Jamaica’s Under-17 Women’s football team and Andrew Mullings, a 21-year-old taxi driver.
No motive has been established by the police for the murders to date.
