Jamaica Girlz Beaten By Canada In Semi-Final
Jamaica Reggae Girlz who is ranked 51 in the world rankings was defeated 0-3 by reigning Olympics champion Canada moments ago in the semi-final of the 2022 Concacaf Women’s Championship.
Canada, ranked number 6 in the world dominated the match from start to finish, letting off over 30 shots while Jamaica Girlz only managed to let off 2 shots. Canada scored in the 18′, 64′ and 76′ minute to secure the three-nil win.
Jamaica will play against Costa Rica next for a 3rd place spot in the 2022 Concacaf Women’s Championship. Canada will play the USA in the final. Canada has never beaten the USA. Both matches will be played on Monday.
Eight teams have been playing in the tournament, which runs from July 4 to 18 in Mexico.
