Man Dies After Sister Wakes From Coma To Name Him As Her Attacker
Daniel J. Palmer III, a 55-year-old man in West Virginia, USA, died two days after his sister woke from a two-year coma to name him as her attacker.
The victim, Wanda Palmer was reportedly found unconscious in a pool of blood at her home by lawn groundsmen. The incident occurred in June of 2020 and since then, she had been comatose for two years having received severe head injuries.
Sheriff Ross Mellinger of the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office disclosed that Wanda had, “massive, massive amounts of head trauma, consistent with some sort of machete or hatchet-type injury.”
When she woke, she identified her brother, Daniel, who had a violent past as being the one responsible for her near-death experience. He was soon arrested on July 15 and charged with attempted murder and malicious wounding.
Within a few days of being in custody, he died while being transported to the hospital for treatment for various health issues. His death, however, is said to be from natural causes.
