Negril Tour Operator Shot Dead While On The Job

Fifty-three-year-old West End Negril resident by the name of Byron Grey was shot dead by gunmen while he was touring. Grey, a tour guide, was transporting two individuals in Negril Westmoreland when he was shot and killed.
According to the Jamaica Gleaner, the police report states that at around 11:10 pm, Monday night, the tour operator was carrying two male tourists, He was driving a Toyota Voxy bus when two men on a two-wheeled drive rode up along the bus on the West End main road and opened fire. The bullets of the assailant’s handguns hit Grey multiple times, leading to him losing control of the vehicle and crashing into a wall.
The gunmen thereafter abscond the scene. The authorities were called to the scene and Grey, who was found afflicted by numerous gunshot wounds, was hurried to the Savanna-La-Mar Hospital for treatment but was later declared to be dead.
The tourists involved in the incident remained unharmed.
