Clarendon Resident Missing In US Waters, Brother Confirmed Dead

Tavaughn Bulgin, a Clarendon resident who was working at Martha’s Vineyard in Massachusetts, United States for a summer job, has been reported missing after jumping off in waters on Sunday.

Additionally, his brother, Tavaris Bulgin is said to have drowned in those same waters on the same night and his body was reportedly found at the Sengekontacket Pond at around 6:30 a.m.

Chief Jonathan Searle of the Oak Bluffs Police informed The MV Times that the missing swimmer has been presumed dead. The Chief also mentioned that because a death has taken place, the probe for the missing person will be assumed by the Office of the District Attorney.

Reportedly, the parents of the brothers were so overwhelmed by the news that they had to be admitted to the May Pen Hospital.

According to the police report, the two Jamaicans were among several other individuals who had jumped off from the ‘Jaws Bridge’ (located on Martha’s Vineyard) into the ocean on Sunday night.

Jaws Bridge is said to be a highly favoured spot on the island for tourists to jump from during summertime even though there is a warning sign.

Further information on the incident will follow.
