Miss Argentina and Miss Puerto Rico Secretly Got Married After Having a “Private” Relationship
Former Miss Argentina Mariana Varela and Miss Puerto Rico Fabiola Valentín dropped a grand announcement on Instagram, revealing to fans that they have been secretly dating for two years and have tied the knot. The newlyweds shared the news in a joint Instagram Reel with their followers, which totalled 245,000.
Mariana and Fabiola first met in 2020 when they competed in the Miss Grand International pageant, and they both advanced to the Top 10. While Mariana, who is 26 years old, and Fabiola, 22, would often publicly show their friendship, they had never openly said or left hints that they were romantically involved. On October 28, they got married, and on Sunday, they took to IG with a video montage of their happy relationship.
The video showed many clips of their relationship leading up to their engagement, as well as photos of their matching diamond rings and a clip of them standing on the steps of a courthouse. They pinned in the caption, “After deciding to keep our relationship private, we opened the doors to them on a special day. 28/10/22 ❤️💍✨.”
The news of the couple’s marriage drew congratulations from a number of people. Among the congratulatory comments, Abena Akuaba, Miss Grand USA 2020 and the first Black woman to win the Miss Grand International competition, wrote, “Omg congratulations MGI brought together a beautiful union 😍.”
