Just when it appeared Young Thug’s case couldn’t get worse, a video has now surfaced online showing Young Thug receiving contraband from one of his co-defendants. In the latest developments, Young Thug and one of his co-defendants are facing new allegations that they conducted a hand-to-hand drug deal inside the courtroom while jury selection was taking place.
According to a motion filed Thursday evening, the district attorney’s office said that the acclaimed rapper, whose real name is Jeffery Williams, was given a Percocet tablet by co-defendant Kahlieff Adams during jury selection.
The alleged drug transaction was captured on courtroom surveillance footage. In the now-viral footage, Kahlieff Adams appears to slide something into Young Thug’s hands. A deputy quickly noticed the transaction and confiscated what was later determined to be a Percocet pill as soon as he spotted it.
When deputies searched Khalieff Adams, who initially resisted, they found Percocet, marijuana, tobacco, and other contraband wrapped in plastic and food seasoning to hide the odours, according to the motion. Following the alleged handoff, deputies approached Williams and demanded the drugs. In the motion, Williams is alleged to have given the Percocet to deputies.
According to one of the rapper’s attorneys, Keith Adams, Williams had nothing to do with the alleged transaction in question. When asked if Williams knew it was Percocet being given to him, Keith Adams responded that Williams did not know what was handed to him at the time.
Adams claimed that it was a mystery to him and he had no clue what it was. Adams also stated that the item was immediately turned over to a deputy.

Williams faces charges of being the leader of Young Slime Life, an alleged criminal street gang, for which judge Glanville has paused jury selection three times over drugs, arrests, and health concerns. It is anticipated that he will stand trial along with 13 other alleged associates of his.
An order of suspension of proceedings was issued by Chief Judge Ural Glanville following the alleged contraband incident.
