Woman Attacks Her Lawyer in Courtroom in Wisconsin, USA – Watch Video
A woman accused of killing and slicing up her lover attacked her lawyer in the courtroom when she apparently became angry with an extension of her trial date. Taylor Schabusiness, who is going on trial for the murder of Shad Thyrion, was seated in handcuffs during a competency hearing in Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA.
Schabusiness allegedly killed Thyrion while she was high on meth and having sex with him. She reportedly strangled him with a chain and then used a serrated knife to cut off his head and penis. Schabusiness pleaded not guilty to the accusations of first-degree intentional killing, mutilating a corpse, and sexual assault.
A report from TMZ states that she told the police that it was fun to look for his organs around the crime scene. Schabusiness’ lawyer, Quinn Jolly, reported that she suffered from bipolar disorder and has been getting treated for mental health issues since she was in grade 7.
Jolly, who sat next to Schabusiness on February 14, requested a deferral so that an expert witness could evaluate his client’s capacity to stand trial. The judge approved the request and rescheduled her trial from its initial date of March 26 to May 15.
This ruling did not sit well with Schabusiness, who then lunged at Jolly, elbowing him in the head, which was caught on camera. Jolly attempted to shield himself, and a deputy had to tackle Schabusiness to the ground.
The two were wrestling on the courtroom floor until the deputy and the other two officers restrained her. The officers took the time to ensure that Schabusiness had no injuries before removing her from the courtroom.
