“Tic Tac Toe” Kicks “Shottaz” off Number One Spot

In little over a week, the dancehall space has produced two massive collaborations, Tic Tac Toe and Shottaz, and the Youtube numbers are there to prove it. What makes both songs so impressive is mainly because of the short time it took to rack up the stunning numbers compared to other dancehall songs released on Youtube.

The music video for the collaboration between dancehall artistes Kraff and Skeng entitled Shottaz, released on Youtube, has already reached over a million views in seven days on the popular streaming platform, as it took the number one trending spot for music in Jamaica, which is considered a massive landmark in the dancehall context.

However, in just two days of its release, another massive collaboration between dancehall icon Tommy Lee Sparta who just got back from serving time in prison, dancehall newest sensation Valiant and international producer Rvssian overtook Shottaz for the number one trending spot for music in Jamaica with their collab song Tic Tac Toe.

The hit collab between Tommy Lee, Valiant and Rvssian has garnered over 900k views and over 65k likes in just two days which seems abnormal for dancehall songs. Valiant’s Youtube channel is the most successful in terms of streaming numbers and occupying the number one trending spot since his rise to prominence late last year in Jamaica.

Valiant and Skeng’s Youtube channels, where both collaborations were uploaded, are not new to occupying the number one trending position and racking up numbers quickly. But the numbers Tic Tac Toe is currently doing in such a short period are rarely seen in the dancehall industry in terms of pure Youtube streams.
