The singer made her debut performance at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California, with a large dragon representing her emblem. During her set, the 26-year-old performed her new Locked Up freestyle, a remix to Akon’s 2004 song, for the first time and had the audience singing Akon’s chorus.

Following this upbeat performance, Shenseea, born Chinsea Lee, had her fans screaming in excitement for her to reveal her surprise guests. The audience went wild when Shenseea called out American rapper Coi Leray and Dominican rapper Tokischa. The two ladies performed their hit song, Players, which had the audience and Shenseea singing along.

Shenseea has been making waves on the international scene as she took a break from dancehall and explored pop. Shenseea was nominated for Album of the Year at the 64th Grammy Awards as a featured artiste for her work on Kanye West’s album.

At the 2021 MOBO Awards, she also won Best Reggae Act. In 2022, she sparked controversy online after releasing the song Lickfeaturing Megan Thee Stallion, from her debut album Alpha.

She has worked with numerous prominent international artistes and only two days ago dropped a dancehall track entitled Curious. The song has since amassed over 2.1 million views and 36K likes, jumping to #12 on YouTube’s Trending for Music chart in Jamaica.
