Rapper Dies After Collapsing on Stage – Watch Video
American rapper Big Pokey, born Milton Powell, did his very last performance on Saturday night, which was when he collapsed on stage.
Reports detail that the paramedics were called to the scene just before midnight local time. The rapper was rushed to a nearby hospital and died the following day, but no cause of death has been disclosed.
A video of the rapper collapsing backwards on stage during his set at a Juneteenth-themed party at the Pour09 Bar in Beaumont, Texas, is now circulating on the internet.
In the video, the 45-year-old rapper exhales heavily over the microphone before suddenly falling and seemingly hitting a fence on his way down. The rapper lay motionless on the stage afterwards, and shock ignited as people rushed to him.
A report from CNN details that Powell, who hails from Houston, Texas, is one of the founding members of the “Screwed Up Click,” an American hip-hop collective of Houston-based rappers.
