The announcement was made on Monday during the JFF’s press conference and followed the Reggae Boyz’ two-match defeats against Qatar and Jordan. In preparation for the upcoming Gold Cup, the Boyz faced Qatar on June 15 and Jordan earlier today in international friendlies, losing to both 2-1.

With the Gold Cup set to commence on Saturday, the Boyz’ chances of a victory over the defending champions, the United States, does not forebode well, with head coach Heimir Hallgrímsson yet to register a win with the national team.

Returning for Saturday’s match from the Boyz’ match against Jordan will be goalkeeper and captain Andre Blake, Amari’i Bell, Adrian Mariappa, Di’Shon Bernard, Javain Brown, Jonathan Russell, Kevon Lambert, Kaheem Parris, Daniel Johnson, and Cory Burke, who provided Jamaica with their only goal in today’s match.

Also featured in the Boyz Gold Cup squad are: goalkeepers Jamali Waite and Coniah Boyce-Clarke; defenders Ethan Pinnock, Dexter Lembikisa, Damion Lowe, and Kemar Lawrence; midfielders Joel Latibeaudiere and Bobby Reid; and forwards Michail Antonio, Shamar Nicholson, Leon Bailey, Demarai Gray, and Dujuan Richards.
