Reggae Boyz Defeated 2-1 by Qatar in Friendly Match – Watch Highlights

The Reggae Boyz suffer yet another defeat under head coach Hallgrimsson, who is winless after taking charge of the team at the start of this year. The match was the first of two friendlies for the Reggae Boyz to assist with the preparation for the upcoming 2023 Gold Cup.

A dominant display by the Qatar men’s team saw them ease past the Reggae Boyz 2-1. Reggae Boyz had a lot of new faces in its starting 11, which include the much talked about Dujuan ‘Whisper’ Richards.

Ahmed gave the Qatari side a 31st-minute lead with a powerful finish to beat Jamaican goalkeeper and captain Andre Blake at his near post. After constant pressure from the Qatar team, they reaped success with another goal, finished by Muntari in minute 39.

However, Reggae Boyz registered a goal through Nicholson, who put away a penalty to half the deficit in the 61st minute. That was the only joy the Jamaicans enjoyed, as they were outplayed for most of the game by the Qatar team.
