Dexta Daps Named one of the ‘Best Dressed’ at the BET Awards – See Pics, Watch Video

After the 2023 staging of the BET Awards, the global publication Insider wrote a piece on the best-dressed celebrities at the show and Jamaican Dancehall musician Dexta Daps was on the list.

The Slow Motion singer was on the featured image for the article along with Madisin Rian and Coco Jones. The article covered Dexta Daps’ outfit, stating that the entertainer “made a splash on the red carpet” with his outfit of choice, which is a lime green full suit, white shoes and glasses, an oversized ring, and layered chains.

His hair was done in twists that were later held back in a short ponytail.

Upon seeing the article, Dexta took to his Instagram account to talk about being featured as a best-dressed celebrity. He posted pictures from the event and left a message that read, “BEST DRESSED🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲…SEAVIEWWWWWWW!!!! STYLE FI ETERNITY…FASHION WEY MEK SHE WA 😏 WID PASSION 😎 BIG UP MI STYLIST…”

There were also two video clips included showing Dexta Daps leaving his trailer after getting ready with a big smile on his face and another of him on the red carpet singing while a woman on the sidelines recorded a video of him.

Although some people thought that the entertainer’s outfit was the height of fashion, others disagreed with the style of clothes he chose to wear, stating that it made him look like he was gay.

Yardylink said, “A which one of the Letters that color represent in the flag?” and sjcordealk wrote, “SMH…. Can tell some of you really don’t know fashion . I visit some of y’all page and a pure dutty tear up clothes and you hear talking bout the man outfit.”
