JM$ 770 million is reported to be allocated for the Security Strengthening Project for the 2023/24 fiscal year. The project is funded by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), and according to the Jamaica Information Service (JIS), the funds will be used to advance several initiatives, such as procuring fibre-optic cables for the JCF and equipment for a mobile command centre.

The allocated funds will also aid in network drops for JCF high-priority sites, Department of Correctional Services (DCS) surveillance equipment, and the installation of network equipment to facilitate the connection of agencies.
