Top 5 Trending/Hottest Dancehall Songs in Jamaica Right Now – August 2023

Dancehall artistes Valiant and Kraff come out ahead of their counterparts, taking the top spots on YouTube’s trending music for Jamaica with their latest releases, Mad Out and Lucid. Their fellow entertainers Pablo YG, Najeeriii, Byron Messia, and Burna Boy round out the remaining spots in the top five trending songs.
Pablo YG opens this top-five list, taking the #5 spot with his single Rich N Richer. The artiste flaunts his success in this YGF Records, Poppinz Records, and 23Recordz-produced track. Rich N Richer was released on YouTube on July 24, acquiring over 327,000 views and 16,000 likes since its premiere.
Pablo YG, 19, recently made his debut performance on the Reggae Sumfest stage in July.
Dancehall up-and-comer Najeeriii takes the #4 spot with the single Paddle Boat. The ZIMI Records-produced track was released on July 2, but has managed to remain one of the top-trending songs amidst several new releases. Paddle Boat has amassed 2.6 million views and 59,000 likes on YouTube.
Following the release of his breakout single Talibans in January, Saint Kitts and Nevis deejay Byron Messia has garnered international recognition for the highly popular single over the past several months. Byron Messia premiered the single’s remix, Talibans II, on July 20, with Nigerian afrobeat star Burna Boy appearing on the track.
The single has amassed over 4.2 million views as well as 135,000 likes since its release and is currently #3 on the trending list.
Following the release of his popular song Ruff C in June, Kraff takes the second-top spot on this list, with his single Lucid appearing at #2. Lucid, released on July 18, was the deejay’s only release last month on the YouTube platform.
The track was produced by The Budu Dem, Romeich Entertainment, and Droptop Records. It has so far garnered 1.2 million views and 28,000 likes.
Valiant takes the #1 spot, with the top-trending song on YouTube for Jamaica with his viral hit Mad Out.
After teasing fans with a snippet of the single, Mad Out‘s much-anticipated music video was released on July 24. Produced by Zimi Records and Now Or Never, the song has amassed 1.8 million views and 70,000 likes.
