Guard At Beryllium Security Company Identified As Main Suspect In ‘Mandeville Berryllium Robbery’

The main suspect implicated in the robbery was held by police in the wee hours of Saturday morning, along Four Paths main road, in Clarendon. The authorities reported that they found one M16, two AK-47 rounds, and a ski mask in the vehicle he was travelling in, a black Toyota Wish.

In connection with the brazen heist in Mandeville, the police high command has announced that five persons are being questioned. According to reports, two of them are employees of the bank, while the others are attached to a courier company. The police have also recovered the getaway car used to flee the scene.

It has been reported that a guard attached to Beryllium Security Company has been identified as the prime suspect in the robbery at Bank of Nova Scotia on Caledonia Road in Manchester, which occurred on Friday evening.

Following the daring attack in which six people were said to have been shot and injured, the guard implicated in the robbery is said to have been part of the drop-off team.

There has been a report from the police that six people turned up at Mandeville Hospital with what appeared to be gunshot wounds. However, during the shooting, none of the guards were injured.

At approximately 6 o’clock in the evening, it was reported that Beryllium’s security guards were escorting four bags of money on a trolley when armed men attacked them and caused them to abandon the bags of money. No figures have been released so far by the company or the authorities in regard to the amount that was stolen in the heist.

A guard is reported to have challenged the men to a duel, in the process, the guards retreated, and two bags containing an unknown amount of cash were taken away by the robbers.

While the men fled, a policeman, who was situated nearby, challenged them, reports stated. This brazen heist is the latest in the string of robberies that have plagued the security company since the start of the year.
