Triple Murder in St. Catherine Leaves Residents in Dismay

On Tuesday morning, September 5, 2023, tragedy struck Waterloo St. Catherine, Jamaica, as the community awoke to the horrific discovery of a triple murder.
According to the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF), residents reported hearing explosions shortly after 3:00 AM. However, it wasn’t until around 5:00 AM that they ventured to investigate. To their utter shock and dismay, they stumbled upon the lifeless bodies of three individuals from their community and promptly alerted the authorities.
The victims are 43-year-old sales representative Omar Wellington, 35-year-old cashier Sharon Francis Wellington, and 16-year-old high school student Orlando Wellington. All three were found with their hands bound, suggesting a sinister and deliberate act. Allegedly, the female was pregnant at the time of the tragedy.
The police were reportedly at the scene investigating and trying to uncover the motive behind the crime.
The JCF now appeals to the community for any information that may aid in solving the case, underscoring the importance of cooperation.

The news was disseminated through a video shared on the Jamaica Constabulary Force’s Instagram account, leaving viewers appalled and distressed. Some attributed such gruesome acts to a perceived weak justice system, an under-equipped police force, and a faltering government.
