Disgruntled Jamaican-Canadian Citizen Shares Struggles of Living Abroad
Unsatisfied with the current state of her second homeland, a disgruntled Jamaican-Canadian citizen has issued a warning to Jamaicans who are planning to travel to the North American country in hopes of prosperity.
Having lived in Canada for over two decades, the woman took to social media to share the struggles she has witnessed under what she deemed an incompetent Justin Trudeau-led government. She shared that contrary to Canada’s sparkling reputation as the best place to live, work, and raise your family, the reality was far from perfect, with the cost of rent and a home mortgage doubled over the last few years.
According to her, while Trudeau was living a lavish lifestyle, hundreds of people, including children, were homeless and living on the streets in Toronto. Contradicting the notion that Canada was a place for families, she expressed that parents were left with little time with their children as they were forced to work multiple jobs.
The woman warned Jamaicans against travelling to Canada in search of better opportunities and advised them to travel to America or England instead. Further expressing her displeasure with Trudeau, she said the president had used taxpayers’ money to help fund international war efforts instead of helping Canadian citizens struggling at home.
She also warned prospective students planning on travelling for their studies, highlighting the hefty costs current students are now paying. According to her, the only reason why she has not left the country is because of her three children, who were born there.
