Peter Morgan Passed Away After Suffering a Stroke: Report

Reggae singer Peter ‘Peetah’ Morgan reportedly passed away over the weekend after experiencing a stroke.

Peter, the lead singer of Morgan Heritage, passed away on February 25. The news was announced via the official Instagram page of Morgan Heritage, devastating members of the entertainment community and music lovers alike who lamented the artiste’s passing online.

The post announcing his death extended the family’s thanks in advance for everyone’s support and requested that they be given privacy as they begin to heal from Peter’s loss. However, the message did not divulge the details surrounding the singer’s death.

Following his passing on Sunday, on Tuesday society and culture website WESTINDIMADE shared a tribute message to Peter on their Instagram page, announcing that the artiste passed away at the age of “47” after suffering a stroke.

The post was notably liked by Morgan Heritage’s official Instagram page, seemingly confirming the statements within the post as factual.

According to the Jamaica Observer, Peter was reportedly diabetic and had been hospitalised in the United States for weeks following his stroke.

Morgan Heritage was initially comprised of Peter and his siblings Una Morgan, Roy “Gramps” Morgan, Nakhamyah “Lukes” Morgan, and Memmalatel “Mr. Mojo” Morgan.

Most recenbtly the group had three siblings actively performing together, Gramps, Peetah and Mojo.
