Shawn Storm Breaks-Silence Following His Murder Conviction Being Quashed

Portmore Gaza member and dancehall artiste Shawn Campbell whose stage name is Shawn Storm is breathing a sigh of relief following the ruling by the UK Privy Council on Thursday to “quash” his murder conviction.

Despite initially not commenting on the matter, Campbell took to social media hours after the ruling was announced to celebrate the favourable decision.

For the caption to his first post on the day, he wrote, “Glory to God ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝ big up dem lawyer yah, BIG UP @isatbuchanan & BIG UP MY LAWYER JULIAN MALINS ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ #FREEDOM #bussoff #GOD&TIME #ROAD #GAZANATION UPTODITIME YUHNUHKNODATTTT.”

He also commented on the same post, stating, “As God lives, mi really and truly tank all a unu fi di prayers dem yo๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ differently from di lawyers dem weh get to work, mi GRATEFUL fi each & every prayer ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝ wen GOD a work tell dem nuh badawork….”

Vybz Kartel’s song ‘Stand Strong’ was also tagged in the post.

Notably, Bert Samuels was not mentioned as an ‘actual lawyer’ in the case despite Samuels speaking on more than one occasion that he is representing Shawn Campbell.

For his second post, he simply wrote, “๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ#BussOff Glory to God ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝ.”

For Vybz Kartel, Shawn Storm and the other accused men, this ruling marks a potential turning point after years of legal battles.

The appeal, presented before the UK Privy Council on February 14 and 15, 2024 was seemingly the last hope of the men being released in the near future. The accused men have vehemently maintained their innocence throughout the process.
