Govana and Mavado’s ‘Earth a Hell’ Represents the Dark Side of Dancehall

Mavado and Govana teamed up for ‘Earth a Hell‘ collaboration, a grimy Dancehall track, that highlights their gunman ways and street knowledge. The music video, released on Friday, July 19, has since been getting positive reactions from fans of the two.
In the intro of the song, Mavado declared “Dawkness over the Earth again,” and Govana said, “Send bwoy under dirt again,” underlining the direction of the track, a dark and deadly musical endeavour. This is the latest music video from Govana’s album titled ‘Legacy‘ which also features Popcaan and Multiple other popular Dancehall artistes.
Some lyrics, “Badman fling Bokkle boom inna bwoy house Front a yuh mumma nozzle inna bwoy mouth Chop out head-side shat a eye out Rifle pon the seat when the tida drive out Own gun own don Ketch him pon a program Mek the four four slam Shipment boat land 15 scope pon Missing inna town and find yuh dung a Portland,” sings Govana.
With lyrics such as, “Coppa a flow from the hundred pan Easy mi press pon the parabellum Lawd gad is a duppy that a follow mi now Mi affi spin mi roll and fire mi gun… From them diss them a dead a suh we grow A gunshot inna them face mek dem head grow,” Mavado reminds us that he’s a “gangster for life”.
The Music video for ‘Earth a Hell‘ shows the two, seemingly at various locations in the US, visuals from Jamaica are also shown, notably scenery from the Gully Side in Cassava Piece, St. Andrew and Spanish Town in St. Catherine.
After watching the music video, one fan of the two commented, “Earth a Hell is a result of one hell of collab (Genna Genna × Gully Gad),” Another stated, “This took the album no joke.”
